Disapproving Grandpa Barracuda and Other Adventures

This morning was absolutely beautiful, besides the fact that I'm starting to get a cold. I spent a few hours snorkeling and observing parrot fish, then headed in to spend some time with Jess and Aya on the dock. We tanned and laughed and talked about our time here- which was really nice. We were all kind of tired and it was lovely just to sit and talk for a little bit.

After lunch, I went looking for octopuses with my favorite snorkeling and cookie eating buddy, Meaghan. We didn't have much luck, but we did see a beautiful yellow pufferfish, some tadpoles (I think that's what they were), a gigantic angelfish, and I even saw an eagle ray swim by. Watching that ray was jaw-dropping. He or she was so breathtakingly beautiful; I was so sad I only got to see it for a few seconds. I even saw a few sea spiders today which kind of freaked me out- they were huge.

While heading in and still looking for octopuses, I came across a barracuda under the dock. Meaghan and Noah laughed at me for saying this, but I swear it looked exactly like a disapproving grandpa, the way it was just floating there, eyeballing me out of the corner of its eye.

I love octopuses, parrot fish, and puffers, but me and the barracudas don't seem to get along too well...

Before dinner Aya and I hung out on the dock again and took some ~interesting~ photos.

All in all, today was amazing and I'm so glad to be fortunate enough to have days like this.
