I'm Not the Greatest at Underwater Photography.

So I posted a few photos earlier and then immediately deleted the post because I had to stop pretending I had actually taken photos of fish and not just water. As I said before deleting the post, THERE WERE NO FISH IN MY PHOTOS. So, determined to take an actual fish photo, I went back out with Meaghan in search of her octopuses and in search of my parrotfish and a few actual good photos.

We found a very beautiful, very large octopus after about twenty minutes of snorkeling. It was absolutely wild- we were so close and it was so majestic- this was probably the most fascinating thing that has happened while I've been here. Unfortunately, the photo I captured only had one tentacle in it... but I kept trying.

Underwater photography is one of the most tedious, difficult things I've tried to do.. And it's not entirely my fault. The camera I am using does not have a preview screen, so I'm basically blindly taking photos and hoping the subject appears in the frame. And I would say that 3 good photos out of 66 is pretty good!! (and a special one of me and Meaghan just for fun). So here they are.

P.S.I've already learned a lot during this trip and can't wait to see what else I will learn. I hope to continue my studies of marine biology after this course at my high school, and this trip has already convinced me that I want to study marine biology in college- even though I can only kind of take underwater photos.
