My project

I have not been snorkeling for at least ten years, and I was expecting to be really nervous.  However, after arriving and seeing how beautiful the reefs were my nerves quickly left me.  I am still figuring out some of the details, but I will be observing  how the flamingo tongue snails could possibly be spreading aspergillus amongst the sea fan corals, or G. ventalina.  My project, which will be for my thesis, will be a continuation of a previous students, Darla Hubbell Kane's previous work.  I am looking forward to this work, but quite naturally still a bit intimidated.
