GO GET IT, KONA!

On an island far, far away there is a majestic creature with four paws, two cute ears, and a tenacity for chasing objects...

...this is what she looks like.

She goes by KONA HOVERDOG, and she is the queen of the island, we are but her humble servants swimming and running at her beg and bark. Yesterday, Kona discovered Schrodinger's Sandball... a phenomenon where a sandball exists and can be chased, but also doesn't exist and can never be taught.
Here is an example, camera work by yours truly (physical work by Andre and Kona).

Today, the tail-bearing queen encountered a game called, 'Kona in the Middle'. Upon bestowing her with one of my little soccer balls from home, she followed us into the water. There two or three of us would throw the soccer ball and have Kona chase after us and jump to try to get it. When she finally caught the ball (several times) she would swim to shore and give it a good shaking (ultimately resulting in her breaking her new toy within two hours of having it!).
Kona and the defeated ball.

The party then moved to the dock, where several of us got to enjoy Kona's company and an onslaught of "Get it, Kona, Get it" and general praise continued for several hours.

WHAT A GOOD GIRL!!
