Hiking to the lighthouse

Today was a relaxed day at first- breakfast and then working on my project for a few hours, tanning, reading. After lunch, however, I went on a hike to the lighthouse with Kasia, Lauren, Dara, Jaci, and Natali. It was stunning- pretty windy, not too hot, not too humid, not too many bugs. I could tell from the beginning that it was going to be a great hike.

When we got to the lighthouse, some of us climbed up to look out from the top. I was a little bit scared of the dark ladder/tunnel leading up to the lookout, so I stayed behind and took some photos.

Kona even went with us, which made everything ten times better automatically. On the way back, we walked along the beach. The water was so clear and gorgeous and it was that time of day where the sun is still out but turning golden-sunset colored.

It's days like these that make me appreciate being here even more. I'm looking forward to many more adventures and making many more memories this last week on the island.
